Description

Well life in general has conspired to keep me away from the camera for several months but I managed to get some shots today of some unusual east Texas weather. Snowfall is not rare but we only get the ground covered about every 5 or 6 years. Yesterday and last night brought about 6". I know that is nothing compared to parts of the USA but everything is relative, lol. I thought the image needed more than what i captured, so I used an Adobe Photoshop 7 effect called "plastic wrap". I have not used an effect on an image in a long long time but then again, it has not snowed this much in a long long time, lol. I have one more to share tomorrow then i will probably go back into hibernation until spring gets here. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. BTW - these images are bigger than any I have posted in a long time but maybe someone will be interested enough to click on the large image so more of the "effect" detail is noticeable. I like the feel it adds to the mood. Lee

That is amazing, Lee! for lots of reasons. 1.This is the first time I've seen this filter used to such good effect. 2.it is an astonishling beautiful scene, a marvellous photo. 3.Your house and 'environs' look splendid, a place to die for! What a wonderful job you have made of it, you must be so proud. I should love to see more of your place as well as the super macros we know you for. Andrea

Oh My Gosh....that is beautiful !!!!! I love the snow and love looking at this image. Your place is beautiful and looks so peaceful. I am not familiar with the "plastic" effect. What actually does that do to a picture. Very nice work Lee.

I've attempted to use the "plastic wrap" a few times, but never turns out to my liking. This turned out beautifully. Fantastic image.
