Description

The night when I took this shot (along with many other shots) I helped a friend of mine to move in his new apartment, right in Houston's downtown, at 18th floor. Of course I didn't miss the opportunity to take some shots, even if the weather didn't want to cooperate: rain and fog! Today's joke: A retired gentleman went to the social security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked him for his driver's license to verify his age. He looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home. He told the woman that he was very sorry but he seemed to have left his wallet at home. - I will have to go home and come back later. The woman says: - Unbutton your shirt! So he opens his shirt revealing curly silver hair and she says: - That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me, and she processed his Social Security application. When he gets home, the man excitedly tells his wife about his experience at the social security office. She says: - You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too!

The Company I worked for in El Paso in the late 70s to mid 80s was bought out by a Houston cometitor. They offered me a substantial Raise and moving expenses to relocate to Houston when they moved the company, I declined. Houston is one of those "It's a Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to Live there" Places. Too damn crowded. Nice shot Peace

Very lovely atmosphere! The fog softens the buildings I think, they seem less cold this way. Beautiful shot!

It looks so magical at night from this height. And so business-like during the day. :-) Looks like your friend has a great location.

I agree with Lenord about living in Houston. That Is why I am just near there. I think the fog adds to it!
