Description

This now is the heart of scorpio, Antares. His name means "like Ares" or "against Ares", Ares being Mars, the red planet, which shows a similar color in the sky as does Antares. Both are also quite warlike. Antares is king and warlord of the stars of scorpio. Two stars stand to support and protect him called Al Niyat, the arteries. The Chinese know Antares as the Azure Dragon, the emperor. The Persians counted him as one of the four royal stars which mark the seasons, Antares standing for autum. Like all stars of scorpio he is seen as a quite destructive force. Antares uses it mainly as a test for ones inner values and ideas and by destroying anything which does not belong to the true inner self starts an initiatory process, which can but does not have to be quite painful. So Antares function is the guardian of the threshold, the challenger, the initiator and protector of the inner core of ones being. This is one of the best of the series. The lighting is just bright enough to be clear but the image is still forboding and dark power fairly reaks here. The chasm of fire is appropriate and well done. Powerful tattoos add a final flar.
