Description

I've been trying to figure out how to setup a proper car paint material in poser. Here's the result... 1. Car Paint is both glossy and reflective. 2. Both qualities are dependent on lighting and environment reflection to appear correctly. So, I created a simple environment, floor, base, pillars, and simulated overhead lighting. I used one spot light directly above the scene and added 7 point lights turned way down (8 to 15 intensity) All the way around the environment. The car paint material uses only a glossy modifier attached to the specular value and a raytrace modifier attached to the reflection color. The glass and chrome also have a raytrace reflection modifier. It's not perfect, but it's as close as I've ever seen in a poser render. Although there was a recent post of a mustang convertible that looked really good. thanks for taking a look.

Simply gorgeous, love the reflections on the car! Your simple environment brings to mind a show room where the car might be on display! Outstanding work!
