Mapps and richardphotos is working on some pipes and when i saw this I took some photos of it. be careful for the planet cops do come and talk to me. I was on the road at the time. But still it unreal for me. You can go on line and get satellite photos of this place and it took me no time to get the satellite map and they worry about terrors getting imformation? Come on! They be better at this and more slicker at getting information than stop at night on the side of the road to get night shots. I was going to down load the satellite shot too to show where I was for it a very detail map and I could show you where I was when I took the shots and wherethe cops stop me; but it copyrighted. they did give me a word of not to take shots like that or of ship yards.
I not mad it just look like the keystone cops is in charge if I can very easy get satellite photos up close of the whole whole oil plant or just the tanks in the oil plant. If I look around a little I most likely get the master blueprinets too like they do in the movies.

I told a hospital cop that questioned me about taking pictures(clouds no less).he thought I was taking pictures of the building. I told him the same thing about the satellite would be far better. excellent shot Jock

I lived within spitting distance of Monsanto back in Texas City for a couple of years. The sight of the plant at night had a magical quality - you have definitely brought that feel back to me...thankfully, I cannot smell the factory on one of those hot, sultry nights with the humidity hugged the ground with the smell of rotten eggs... :-)

You have so many excellent images. I love the composition and lighting on this shot! The big storage units on the right with a cluster of lights above them, all of the horizontal lines, the smoke and all the various curved pipes, make a very attractive scene. Wonderful contrast! I love the light and shadows! I was born in Sulphur and have family in Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and Houston. It's nice to see pictures from the area.

I just love these industrial shots. The lighting is so cool too. I know that's how it really is, that the photo is untouched. Well seen .. too bad about the cops, but they are doing there jobs, I guess. You can see just about anything you want on those google satellite views! Bet this looks really cool from the satellite view too.
