Description

Two credits go out to some excellent tutorials that helped me: 1.How to model a bottle in Blender with the spin option from Pablo Lizardo. 2.LuxBlend tutorial: Image textures and mix materials from Abel on the luxrender wiki page. This helped my UV mapping skills immensely. This is modeled/textured in blender. The render is my first experiment with luxrender and the LuxBlend exporter for Blender. It feels pretty close at this point. I want to try to add a bump map to simulate some surface details on the plastic bottle. There are some molded stripes on the actual Dr. Pepper bottle. This is beyond my meager UV mapping skills at this point. I'm going to try this out soon, though. Also the geometry at the bottom doesn't match the actual bottle. The actual bottle has these scalloped bits that I couldn't model using the spin technique. I thought this looked interesting enough to post. Let me know how you like it. -=Robo=-
