N series model train I set up for my grand kids to enjoy.

As a child I was a happy train modeller. My Fleischmann HO was great. Great work.

My grandson was a train nut at the age of 2 years and by the time he was 5 he could hear a train long before it was seen and he could tell me the kind of engine, the approximate number of cars and then he's give me the history of the invention of the type of engine being used. As he finished his identification, the train would come into view and rumble past us on the tracks...and he'd be right every time. He is 13 now and gone onto other vehicles...boats, planes, motorcycles and cars. But I always remember fondly the 3-5 train sets we always had set up at any one time that he worked on every day.

I am sure they love it. My son loved trains when he was a child. We used to go sit near the tracks so we could watch the trains go past.

This brings back memories. I had the full size Lionel train set, the one that took a smoke pellet down the engine stack and made smoke. I still have some of the cars.
