Stephan you are right, it looks like it is ready to strike. I read the comments by chasfh below and they made me smile as I love the movie Tremors and now it reminds me of the snake creatures that were their tongues from that movie.

You have such a great eye for details and things others do not see..i love these kind of things in nature too..... Dit zijn precies de dingen waar ik ook altijd op let als ik in het bos wandel...die grillige vormen van takken of vormen in bomen kunnen soms de meest grappige of soms zelf enge wezens weergeven...net van die boom figuren..wat gaaf dat jij dit ook ziet ;) Ik wou alleen dat ik ook zo'n camera had als jij die van die prachtige close ups kan maken en het beeld haarscherp blijft.
