Description

On this morning’s walk, I spotted the previously posted juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron. He was awake and out of the trees. Couldn’t resist a second posting. Both of his parents were watching, very closely, that no one bothered him. He will grow to about 25 inches (64cm) long and with a 44 inch (112cm) wingspan. He is about half that size now. Thanks for all the comments and site mails about my work space. Don't get to excited about the clean desk - the desk top PC and printer/copy/FAX machine are in the closet, while I did our taxes. In another few days the desk will be packed with everything and the laptop will be back in the den. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments and favs. Dana

Wow, what a long name for such a little squirt, Dana. Neat shot of the little avian, seemingly pondering what everything is all about.
