UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

It does look great, during the day. But I'd have to say that the Luxor looks best at night.

Un-freaking-believable!! Only in Vegas.... I've seen a few pics of this on TV, but you've really captured the magnificence here. They've pretty much put the entire city in one building. Amazing! I would imagine a room in that thing costs about as much as the daily operations of the real NY,NY. One hack of a capture, Bill!

New York, New York, all compressed into one small plot of Sin City. Super stellar 3D perspective effect in this marvo capture, Bill, not to mention the fabulous clarity and light/shadow contrast! You get to have all the fun, and no way do I go on a roller coaster ride, not at my advanced age!
watapki66

Vegas doesn't do anything halfway--what a great shot. I'd be on that roller coaster every chance I got--I still love em!!

This is astonishing! The one thing I can say about us American sorts of people is we'll find a way to put a roller coaster anywhere and for as old as I'm likely to get, I love them. I haven't been on that many but the few that I've experienced were fun...especially the one that had a bit of a gastric surprise (Long story...I was a witness to it but not a participant, thankfully!.) Anyway enough roller-coaster-rambling. I really love the delirium of this shot...yeah, it's New York, only with a roller coaster zipping around it. Wonderful details and superb color sense. I love the name Manhattan Express for many reasons, the most obscure is the fact that it's a club in Moscow, intimately associated with one of my favorite people on earth. Great work!

Wow! I cannot even imagine anything like that. Clive
