Description
Second in a series on the Aragorn-Arwen romance, depicting their marriage in Minas Tirith. Nimloth, the White Tree of Gondor, is in the background.
This one took an incredible amount of tweaking. I started with horrible lighting, and I had Arwen in a green dress like in the movie and Aragorn in royal purple. The purple was fine but the green wasn't working for me, plus the lighting needed a major adjustment. I adjusted the lighting, decided to give Arwen a gold dress with green accents. Much better, but now the purple didn't seem to work, so I went with the brassy color you see here: much better. Also Nimloth's leaves looked to much like Laurelin's, so I darkened them.
One final note of fun trivia: the trunk of Nimloth is a marble shader from Sage Babylon, and I think it makes a wonderful tree trunk. :D
Best seen full-sized.

Very nice!! It's wonderful to see Arwen in the arms of her true love...and especially with the White Tree in the background. And yes, that marble shader does make a great White Tree!

Amazing render. The colors in this image compliment each other very well. Love the pose, truly portrays their feelings for each other. And that marble shader makes a terrific tree trunk.

This is a magnificent interpretation! I think your choice of color in this is actually more fitting for Aragorn than purple. I always visualized the Elves as dressing in greens and earth tones as you have done with Arwen. Beautiful artwork from a beautiful story.
