Description

an apology.... normally you'd see the Atomic Starship Enterprise in a scene like this, but one thing led to another...a convergence of things actually... I was looking at my AS Enterprise model and thought about how it could be improved... set that aside for a bit...went through some of my really really old files and came across an unpublished story of mine from a long time ago..., then they ran 2010 on TV, I watched that, plugged 2001 into the DVD player... watched that... fiddled a bit with the concept of the As Enterprise... and came up with this ship for the story I'd written.... a lot of improvements on this machine...larger main command hull, a blast shield for the the Atomic Engines...storage spheres....observation domes on both the dorsal and ventral spines of the command hull... as close to plausible science fiction as I can make it... and she fits the story. Her name.... The Rainbow Wanderer.... and the apology.. I am sorry for not continuing with the AS Enterprise storyline... I just couldn't get into it.. had trouble writing for it... here's why... my other series work has always been the result of my own ideas, dreams and thoughts..The Lounge Wars was different than most anything out there and it was original... the same with the Explorers Series, and The Random Thoughts of an Abstract Ideal series... I try to do new and fresh ideas... I don't like to riff on other's fortunes...I did a couple (okay 3) Galactica pieces, incorporating one into The Lounge Wars, and a couple of Avatar pieces...but even the... I don't know... so, I'm sorry but it looks like the Enterprise storyline may not happen... getting back into fotography.. and more individual designs.. maybe a few more Myra's and some more with Celeste and Myke.... but tell me what you think of The Rainbow Wanderer.. going to post a 3/4 view tomorrow... comments welcome, please enjoy!

fantastic work!! and about series, take it easy. First you must enjoy yourself and the "audience" will follow! Take your time. When I posted the first image of Canals of New Mars I didn't ever think about a series. It was one of the comments who trigged the idea. Then I thought about a series of few episodes. Right now I'm at the 75th and it's one year's long work. But I'm going on until I'm enjoining myself and I've your suppport. Hugs!!

Grand spaceship...I can see where the music and television show provided stimuli. I love the shape of the vessel and the color is perfect for it. As for the story, I am sure you will arrive at it in time. You write so good, would be a shame not to get an installment here and there.

Nice design mix...but can she do Warp 9 ? I would have scaled down the textures, just to make the ship look bigger, just a suggestion. Well done & ~Cheers~

You know the name "Rainbow Wanderer" reminds me very much of our Australian Greenpeace ship the "Rainbow Warrior" cruising the Antarctic protecting whales from the Japanese fishermen, who are plundering our Oceans which is constant s... fight between us and them. So who is your ship protecting ?...can we borrow it ? we will bring it back in one piece, promise ! BB
