Description

Made entirely in UltraFractal (except Signature). The textures show up better in full view. I don't know the botanical names of these plants ;-) The clouds, on the other hand, would be classified as mammatus clouds, thus the title of this image. I'm an avid cloud watcher. For those who would like to see some good examples of mammatus clouds (or any other type), there is a website for the Cloud Appreciation Society, and it has photo galleries for each type of cloud. The link for the mammatus gallery is http://cloudappreciationsociety.org/gallery/index.php?x=browse&category=13&pagenum=1 There is also a gallery for a new category of cloud called asperatus, which look similar to mammatus http://cloudappreciationsociety.org/gallery/index.php?x=browse&category=52&pagenum=1 Thanks for viewing, and thanks for all your kind comments. Dave

Wonderful and surreal. I am so impressed with the clouds too. I have seen similar formations over the sea in Devon.

WOW _ I Love clouds too and these mammatus are superbly shown ! Please look at my cumulus cloud pictures in my gallery ! Is it possible to create huge cumulocongestus clouds with particular programs ? I seldom see anything dramatic or convincing in Terragen or Mojoworld !
