Description
There is an old tree at the entrance to my condominium complex with wonderful above ground roots. After a recent rain I noticed a pool of water trapped between the roots. I thought it might make a decent picture but as I raised my camera I noticed this little fellow standing between the water and me as if to say, “Wait your turn, I’m drinking here.” I backed off and when he felt it was safe he took a quick sip and ran off.

He's very cute, and fierce! That tail looks ready for action! I love all the attitude and vocabulary they can put into their tails. I remember watching a squirrel that had started to go down a tree when he saw a cat near by. I never saw such bad language! Excellent capture! He looks ready to defend his turf! Wonderful tree!
