Description
Once again, Nathalie has created a lovely dynamic cloth item--V4 Poncho. Thank you Nathalie. Do hope you like what I created with it.
For those of you who would like to use dynamic cloth by don't have a clue where to start, here's a very quick and dirty instruction:
1. load your figure, e.g., V4, and apply all head and body morphs. Just want to add: if the cloth collides against hair, such as in my image, load hair on figure in frame 1 when you do the body morphs.
2. load the dynamic cloth figure on your figure
3. go to frame 10 in your animation panel
4. in frame 10 pose your figure and hair. i usually have 30 frames in the animation frame.
5. save your scene
6. go to cloth room
7. have dynamic cloth figure selected
8. start new simulation (use default settings)
9. clothify your dynamic cloth figure
10. go to collide against
11. select those parts of body/scene cloth will touch
12. when that process is complete uncheck "start drapping from zero pose"
13. click "ok"
14. go to calculate simulation
and let it rip. you may find that you will have to make some minor adjustments. it is really a matter of trial and error. but if you never try it, you will never learn ;)
once you are satisfied with the cloth results, go back to your scene. save your scene, and do the hair, lights, etc. in the last frame that your simulation stopped at.
the poser user's manual has a section on dynamic cloth and also explains what the various settings on the right side of the window do.
Anyway, thanks for the view and for any comments you may like to leave--your support is always appreciated...
