Description

Hello. Another shelter on the mountainside. This one built of the 'local' stones what makes this hut almost blend into the surrounding. These huts suffers great damages in wintertime because of the avalanches. As you can see there is no glass in the windowframe and that big rock just missed a house. By the first snow this hut will be fixed again and provides cover for the climbers till a snowstorm pass. This shelter roughly half way up to the top, so I say about 1200m high. Ta to listen...seeya

A splendid shot of the stone structure. Rugged and rocky, Tunde! I don't think I would get much sleep living in a residence like that, always concerned about being caught in an avalanche. I'd rather have raindrops fallin' on my head. Oh well, no worries about mowing a lawn up there.

Rocky terrain for sure; I'd also worry about being in the path of a boulder! Excellent capture!

Great capture. I'm surprised there's no structure to deflect any avalanches...

I bet its difficult to see this hut from any distance as it is camouflaged by the surrounding rocks. Great capture of it!

Wow, what a rock home! I SO love this! I sent it to my hubby just now so he could see. We live in a gravel pit, where we have tons of boulders we've been piling up and using for rock walls and what-not. you'd think I'd be bouldered/rocked out by now, but I'm not. I love things like this.
