Description

This is one of the images in my series of impressions of my home region called "Sauerland" which I once started in Bryce 5. That's why most of the mats are just Bryce presets, more or less modified, except for the water material for the waterfall which I found quite difficult to do. The waterfall consists of 3 terrains, the water haze was done in both Bryce 6 plus a bit of postwork in Picture Publisher - also a little brush work and unsharpening on the streaming part of the water. Seeing this old image now, it makes me wish to do another one with better terrain work and materials/textures as well as a different POV. Anyway - I wanted to convey a little summer feeling which most of us might be longing for right now. ;-) Any suggestions and critical comments very welcome as always, and thanks for looking.

Very well done...the waterfall especially! Only thing I could suggest would be to duplicate your terrain that the waterfall flows over,and add spikes with the brush set to "paint effect"...this would add the effect of trees to your terrain,and if you lower this new terrain and render in a different vegetation texture you would add variety to the slope.Other than that I think you have nailed the light and textures beautifully...I want to visit this place!
