Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Capital POV employed to capture the excellent textures in this shot, Maz! Kinda looks like a combination of Sharky Hawaiian lava and a wheat field.

It's odd that this also looks like a weathered lava flow. I love the moodiness of it and the kind of "barren planet" feel that I usually only get while watching science fiction television shows produced by the BBC in the 1980s...they all used barren beaches, abandoned quarries, and open fields as alien planets and they were ALWAYS the same barren beaches, abandoned quarries, and open fields...they'd have done really good to visit this place though. It's a fabulous shot, a really well-seen glimpse into the world you know so well. It also sets the stage for a drama of some sort as it resembles haunted moors or something. In short, there is so much mood in this, a whole wealth of stories could come out of it, and well...when a photograph does that, I'm as happy as a cat who has discovered how to break into the pet food pantry.

Great comparison! It will bounce back, and look all nice and fluffy again. I love the little tire tracks!
