I'm a 20+ year veteran news graphic artist, reporter and editor currently with the Cleveland Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm a Lightwave enthusiast -- but in my career I've mainly used it for very dry, documentary diagrams (I'll post a few samples). I'm fascinated by the very artistic and beautiful renderings this community generates and I'd like to try to move in that direction.

WOW! What an evocative image...I love the way the light plays on everyone's features, the way the whole mood is one of expectation. And Shakespeare flitted through my mind as well, asking: "Shall we sit upon the ground and tell sad tales of the deaths of kings?" --which just added to the vibe of this render. Really top notch work!

Thank you all so much. When I hit 'render' I was a little surprised myself at how "painterly" it turned out!

Cool idea and render, looks like the old cat has got enough stories to last the night, and the next night, and the night after that! Nice work on this!
