Description

I've been playing with PostworkShop and I created this scene. Believe it or not, the original has no snow or ice. Playing with styles I was able to turn this into a winter scene. This is so cool! I had a hard time deciding on which version to post so tomorrow I'll post a totally different version, that I really loved. This is the same house as in my "Sailing" picture. I think it's from Poser World, I really love the model. It fits everywhere, but I retextured it. The dock & boat are from Cornucopia, the fence I modeled in Hexagon. Grasses are from RDNA. Thanks for your kind comments and favs on "The Old Mill". I really appreciate it. Thanks for viewing.

I guess the little boy will have to play with his boat in the bath tub until spring. Wonderful scene! Very painterly. Did I just see DOM1 looking over his shoulder?

Fantastica creazione ! Incredible atmosphere and beautiful game of water with the boat! I'm curious to see the second version (I do very pice divrese versions of the same picture, like make a summer landscape, and pulls out a landscape autumn)

:-) Realllly nice, Patty! It looks like a blending of water color and inks.  I'd love to see it in a rustic frame near a stone fireplace.  You could very successfully market a series of your prints.  I know what I say as I sold a line of decorative photography built upon my own prints years ago. I get what you're feeling about having to choose between different final versions.  Sometimes I am actually haunted when I make a final decision in Photoshop by a little voice that says "But what about all the other possibilities you haven't even tested yet?"   Grrrrrr!!!  Too many tools .. too few lifetimes! I am happy to see you back in the flow and enjoying the creative process again. Terry

Thats gorgeous. If I could pick just one of your scenes to call home, I would have a very hard time choosing. Can I have a home for each season, another for holidays, another for my birthday, another for............

I've seen all three since and I agree with your favorite, but they are all beautiful and so different! The light in all three is gorgeous. In this one I love how it is so diffuse. This is true to winter when snow and ice add a lot of surfaces to reflect light. Wonderful subdued colors, and scattered light. I love the dark windows! They give the house a closed in look perfect for cold, icy weather.
