Description

Part 7 - Edward was now fit and well. On Wednesday evening he finally got his wish of a private audience with the Queen. Should he entertain a resumption of their relationship? Also why had the Queen made every effort for him to be familiar with the captured Princess? The Queen explained. I did care for you and under different circumstances things may have gone differently but a Queen has responsibilities to her state. Whilst you were in the dungeon I got engaged to Prince Eugene of the neighboring city state. A union between our two countries would be militarily advantageous. I wanted to soften your disappointment, for I know that I was your first love, and first loves can be the most intense. I saw the beauty of the Princess and thought I could distract you there. I think I succeeded. Edward responded. Yes you did but I wanted to know what you really wanted. The Queen continued. Well then as you are doing such a sterling job in rapprochment in the newly conquered territories I thought I would install you as Governor. Edward replied. You are kind and wise as well as beautiful. You shall always be in my thoughts.

Nice work on this I think she got the wrong guy, one she doesn't love only using him for her advantage in any war.. I think she will be a sorry lass her loss!!!
