I guess we are seeing what happens globally when he does shrug. It looks like he has built up a bit of a sweat! Cheers, Clive

Great pic, Bill. "Cfulton" may well be right. I think it was 1957 when the dircum-pacific "Ring of Fire" jolted as much as now.

one of the joys, bill, of seeing your work is simply having the experience of quality. This could be a garish image, but in your hands it's a study of the language of hue & light & shadow. The orb/earth--which, here, dominates the entire upper half of the shot--bathes the shot in a warm gold-red hue, and you've captured some of the irregularities in what I assume is the metal, so that we can see the small bulges & irregularities of the orb itself. This is a small point, but it makes the picture very engaging to me. And your angle is very fine--I looked at pics of this online (after seeing your upload), and mostly we see the head more straight on. The angle here exposes the lines of his gown as it flows to the pedestal, and has that dramatic angle on his left leg, which--to us--is nearly head on (an unusual angle for a limb that would normally be shown in more of a side angle, to show off the bend; this angle makes it more dramatic). And, more quality, the morph from strong light at bottom, to the shade on top. It's just a quality image, a study of the fine points of a big hotel icon in light & dark. And the spiney leaves around it are contrast to the sheer surfaces of the sculpture & building behind it. Finally, you got blue shadows, which I love. Fine clarity in a simple sculpture enveloping us in shadow. I really like this shot.

Lets hope he doesn't shrug though his muscles are probably hurting by now. Excellent shot.

The earth comes tumbling down, out of orbit, which would affect our four seasons, which would surely ruin our day. Super clarity, lighting and textural effects in this one, Bill. Atlas has a great set of six-pack abs. He must follow a great workout routine each day.

If he shrugs, the rest of us are in deep doo-doo. However, with the excellence of your photographic work, I'm sure he'll be proud to hold up his end for some time to come! Another excellent shot, Bill!

Cool detail shot of the MGM. I haven't been to the MGM in a while, but this brought back memories. Never m ind Ayn Rand, if Atlas shrugs we are in for a world of hurt. Ask the folks in Haiti and Chile.

Well he's got to itch something now and then. It's a balancing act. One slip and ...! Nice eye for the shot!
