Description

It is very rare to see a two story Cracker house, only the very well to do had them. This one belonged to a cattle baron who's son went on to become one of Florida's Governors. This one is also at the Cracker village at the state fair grounds and is open to the public on weekends

Cracker houses are one of the icons of the lower south. I love them. I lived in a shotgun house for some time and these two styles of building are so original to the area. Wonderful view.
