Today, a picture that shows abrupt braking of the spring. The photo was taken yesterday morning draft with Canon 70-300 with a doubler x 1.4 in it you will see on the right the Romanesque church of S. Pantaleone in Pieve a Elici, church well known for artistic merit and music (The acoustics of this church was the subject of study for its perfection)
I monumenti di Massarosa - Monuments of Massarosa
On Mount Quiesa flourished from 1200 a rich Benedictine abbey.
Pieve a Elici, famous for centuries as one of the most important and richest parishes in the diocese of Lucca.
A Massaciuccoli we can find the fossae papirianae or "Holes of Nero. In countries with Montramito and Mommio already castles degli Ubaldi, Stiava, Bargecchia, Corsanico, Quercione Plan, Plan and Plan of Conca Mommio preserved works of art and architectural details of historic and monumental Romanesque churches still in original state (church of Villa Cenami in Piano di Conca). Among them stands out for its purity of style and beautifully located at the origin, the Church of Pieve a Elice (XI century) and the serene harmony of its showy white lines common to a dowry of works of art (wall fresco of the Madonna and Child in the thirteenth century ; fresco of a Crucifixion with Saints of the sixteenth century; polyptych marble altar of the late fifteenth century, marble holy water font and tabernacle of the fifteenth century, exquisite works of gold, wrought iron, wood, silk embroidery, etc.). . For its beauty and its perfect acoustics Romanesque church for over 30 years is home to one of the largest series of Italian instrumental concertos, which are organized by the local Association Musicale Lucchese during July and August. You can not miss a sign on the Church of San Michele Arcangelo Corsanico, whose current building dates back to the Renaissance style between 1841 and 1844 with partial replacement of the previous Romanesque of the twelfth century, as evidenced by the northern wall, the its mullioned windows and the massive bell tower has become today a national monument. Inside are to be admired: the font of the sixteenth century, who also served with the emerging community of Viareggio, the sculptor Lorenzo Oliosantiera Stagi, the two marble altars, frescoes of artists Marracci and Michele Marcucci, but, more importantly, the beautiful monumental organ built Venice between 1602 and 1606 by Vincenzo Colonna, recently restored to its original features to give rise to a series of concerts that are planned annually, always in summer, even in this church, by the Association Cultural Friends of Music Organ Vincenzo Colonna and the presence of famous organists from around the world. Finally deserve a mention
Good day and good weekend

Great image and the information is wonderful, but that mountain in the background is impressive in its sharpness and ruggedness

It looks like winter is reluctant to let go of it's cold grip. Stunningly dramatic image, with the clouds casting a shroud over the mountain and a deep shadow over the valley! The buildings look like they are bracing themselves for the cold. Beautiful scenery and excellent image! Buona giornata e buon fine settimana
