Well it's a little late, but The Girl and I hope you had a wonderful birthday, Adrie!
This is Sphinx, a charming character for G4. I've had her in my runtime for several months, and finally decided to see what I could do with her.
Rendered in Poser 8, postwork in Photoshop 7. Her wings are a composite made from a render in Apophysis. The background photo was taken by me s few years ago at a place called Powell Gardens, about 30 miles east of Kansas City. Quite a lovely place.

Oh, this is beautiful! As you know, I am not a big fan of The Girl, but I really like Sphinx. She's a cutie and a wonderful birthday fairy. now if only someone could come up with a laundry and/or housecleaning fairy!

WOW!! She makes a GORGEOUS faerie Rod! Superb pose and the lighting with the shadows is excellent. The way you have her hair is really cool too. You made it appear as though she had just turned toward the camera and is hovering there posing as her hair flows in a subtle breeze from her motion. Cool post-work too. I like the little globe in her right hand. Excellent image buddy.

Well done Rod...you know every time you show me a new background from the Kansas City area you give me a new tip where to go for some future shoot! I like the expression on this faerie's face...very enchanting. Of course I know there is tremendous amount of time and effort in each render, so hat is off to you and a coffee mug lifted in your direction:)
