Description
Great thanks goes out to Helmut (aka Lollipop) for the gift of the waterhouse boat model.
The idea for this image came from my favorite artist, J W WATERHOUSE- it was to illustrate a poem by tennison about a woman who lives in a lonely tower, forever under a curse that if she directly looks upon the world instead of thru a mirror, she will die. But one day she sees Lancelot thru the mirror, and tho terrified, she leaves her tower

Still stuck on that Waterhouse thing Suzi? Me too :) You really caught the feel of Waterhouses original. Who's that in the background though? The Maiden from your 'Windflowers' homage? Great work. D

lol hey d! Yep, still completely in love with Waterhouse! the figure in the background was, of course no where in the original OR in the story - lol i just thought it would be cool to add someone running out of the tower begging her to "come to her senses" =)
