I have mixed feelings about this render. On one hand, I think that the shiny surfaces are great. On the other hand, the shadows look poor on the inside of the bowl. and on the salt and pepper shakers. What's up with the inside of the bowl? It looks like it has a hole or something. Don't get me wrong I like the quality of this, it's just the shadows that are making me scratch my head.

i agree. it seem that the reflection of the open open side of the bowl looks bad. the shadows are like something textured, im working on it. its a flamingo rendering issue (for me). i had to learn more about it.

The shadows look like the jitter on the soft shadow function has been cranked up too high without enough sampleing, either that or some really high .jpg compression, The hole in the bowl...well, I don't know if thats in the geometry or what...but it does look a bit out of place. I like the reflection of the window shape in the salt and pepper shakers though :)
