Description

My previous upload "The Pantry". I took a lot of photos on this trip. I was experimenting with my camera, seeing what it could do and what I could make it do :) It's funny how I can look back now and say I should have tried this fstop or that shutter speed.. lol.. last year I couldn't even take it off automatic :P Thanks for looking :) Hugs, ~Melinda~

Stellar capture, considering you were just experimenting with your camera, Melinda. This is really old stuff. I have never seen such exquisite elegance in a radiator before.

Your capture of this old radiator is really marvelous. The pov and composition with this bit of tilt is perfect. And brings back wonderful memories...

This is a marvelous capture, and yeah, like you, I experiment with things like settings and light contours and such, then get home, read the instruction book, weeks later, discover something new to do (new for me at least) and think: "Wow! If I'd tried this last week that odd guy in front of an even odder building would have looked rockin'...oh well. In terms of this shot though, I love the details and the contrasts. It's also funny for me to see so clean a radiator, they're usually clean in front and really dusty in back! This looks like it's clean in back too! I agree that the composition is top notch and it has a nice (but subtle) tilt. The Science Fiction geek in me is really fascinated at how much this reminds me of something from the Dune universe--a water distillation system or something. I love that element of it too. In short, I really like this piece of work. It's marvelously done.

Nice POV, awesome composition! I'll bet that would look fantastic in black and white. Well done all around.
