Description
Genus-Jadera; Species-haematoloma
This is a small nymph of a Red-Shouldered Bug. When it matures it will look much like a Milkweed Bug or Boxelder Bug. Though it is 95% black with the exception being the red eyes and small red borders up near the head on the wings. Hence where it gets it's name.
Went to a local Arboretum yesterday and there was a spot with 100's (maybe thousands) of these at all stages of life all over the place. On the ground, on the trees, flowers, etc. Might head back there tomorrow to get a few more shots of them.
The little ones sure are cute imo.
