UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I remember visiting this hotel. Awesome place, we stayed right next door at the Monte Carlo, but went over to New York, NY for tacos a few times. Great photo Bill. :)

what a fascinating remake and a great shot for sure, Bill, have only been once in Las Vegas and it's along time ago, when I was sweet 17 and it was fascinating to me and I only played once too on a slot machine and won and took my money to buy a indian made necklace for souvenir... still have it

Man, what a cool capture! Actually, I did think it was a building in a questionable part of some town, and was going to kid you about 'what's a nice guy like you doing in a place like that?' But now that I know the facts, I won't. Aren't you glad? :-D (yes, I have a slightly warped sense of humor ;-P) I really do love this photo, though. You got the exposure right on, and there's lots of delicious detail in both the bright and dark areas. Awesome shot! So, you gambled 20 bucks, and won enough to actually get a room in that hotel, right? LOL!

fantastic!!

Capital POV used in this shot of what looks like an old depression era building on a fun, anything-goes street in Chicago or New York. And, all I do is eat, people-watch and gamble when I'm in Vegas. Otherwise, no shows, no lounging by the pool, no nothing. Ooops, almost forgot...I got married there once.

What a lovely lit photograph! A fantastic capture, with such great clarity and detail! Magnificent place... I wish I could take a stroll at this time of day! You certainly could of fooled me with the timing! The image is stellar!

Great night capture Bill. Your gambling habits are about like mine. I usually spend a couple of bucks when I go somewhere where I haven't been before, like spending $20 in Monte Carlo just so I could say I gambled there!
