Description
In the stillness of the universe when the heart of the universe is at its quietest one can hear the flight of the souls. There is no other sound like this in the entire universe. The rushing sounds of wings that take flight sweep a warmth of energy throughout time and space itself. The sounds from these wings are gentle and ever so melodic and almost appear to paint the colors of life itself into the vast spaces of time. How can all of these wonders be and yet how can they not be? For we are spirit made manifest. We are spirit taking on a human journey to experience physical life itself. We should never shed a tear of remorse for having had this journey. In many ways we are eternal. We are a part of those who came before us and we are a part of those who will come after us. Today is a day when one more soul flies free. Today is a day when the spirit that was earth bound has shed its form and transformed into the most beautiful expression of life that there is. Today is a day of rebirth into the essence of the One. I dedicate today's posting to my step-mom who made her transition today. She is now free from her physical form and has earned her wings so that her soul may fly free. I knew of no other way to honor her passing but to do what I love the most and that is to create something to honor her memory. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for viewing today's presentation and writing. It means a lot to me.

Created in Apophysis 3D Hack 2.08. The starting point for this art piece was the Tips for Textures with Crackle tutorial written by skellorg at DeviantArt. The tutorial can be found in the fractal resources section at Deviant art. This is a combination of two flames from the same parameter file. There were some major tweaks done by me. Post work was done in PSP.

It is so hard for us to realize that the parting of the soul from the dying flesh can be such a freeing and beautiful thing. We are so enmeshed with our sorrow and grief at being left behind, feeling alone and abandoned, that we rarely see the beauty of the next stage of our journey. So I express my sorrow to you, Gayle, may there be peace in your heart, and my joy to your stepmom .. who is in free flight now, ascending ever higher to become one with a Greater Power again, and perhaps to return again in time, as flesh and blood.
