As men spread out, bringing with them reason, science and the pollution of the mundane mind, the wild is forced into retreat, and with it the people of the green world.
Some go quietly, slipping into oblivion unremembered, unmourned and unresisting. But others, some savage, wild few, fight to their last breath, knowing that while they cannot last forever, they can at least hope to slow the tide...
