Description
We know a lot about Paul Gauguin and Van Gogh for they wrote a lot about what they work was and what art mean to them. I was going to write a big thing here on history but I press the wrong button and it was gone. lol. anyway I just wanted to say people will read into your art the geopolitical and religious rants of the day. i look at people art here and see it; some will even talk about it like "remember 9/11" or some war going on in the world or some wrong in the way people act to each other even if it in sci-fi way. Artist of the past did art for churches and stuff like that. I love to look at like Hieronymus Bosch paintings lol. they are super out there in the art world.
We know a lot of a artist when writes what he thinks and the whys he did that art. I see here art that is no writing on it and i wonder what the artist was thinking. I would like to know! The same with the big artists we see in the art world of the old masters.
Did anyone here knew that Paul Gauguin learned the Tahiti language and even knew how to write it. He wrote about Jesus to them and even painted some paintings with the language of the people in Tahiti painted on it . I saw that on TV one time. I like to learn stuff like that. He did paint "the yellow Chist" too
What I saying is when some artist meet me in person he will see I the same in peson as I am here on this art site. I "talk the talk and walk the walk" I try to live what the Bible say; Yes I mess up but I keep on going. that is my life. other people live diff ways. I just like to state on my life for I know that life.
I will keep on writeing so if people know me will know I will state what on my mind like Van Gogh did. He cut his ear off be cause of drugs he was on at the time.
like here in this photo I took, you see a old part of oil field stuff here and a new one in the back ground. Like the old and the new in the same photo. i like to do contrast in my images like this one here.
thanks for looking and comments.
I put this image here in story/sequential for it is a writing here. Guess that what I need to do so I fool no one.

"I was going to write a big thing here on history but I press the wrong button and it was gone." Man, I've done that! But you replaced it with some great wisdom - so no loss after all. :-)

I like your words about explaining art by artists. All in one I understand it as a means to take a more in depth look at artists work and hopefully a little bit of understanding our cultural heritage which is reflected by art over the times.

Jock, I would say the main reason I view your photos and Bryce work is to read your narratives. Trust me, you are living that "transparent" life--what you see is what you get--and you should be proud. I would hope that if I ever get to meet you before I see you in heaven that you will be exactly the person I see in your writing; insightful, real and honest. Willie

Great capture! The great thing is that everyone has his or hers own interpretation of art so in a way everything is a piece of art!!

industrial landscapes, be they either new or 'archaelogical', such as old factories, machinery and the like, have always fascinated me. They have their own poetry and even an artistic flavour. Actually, a thing doesn't have to be 'beautiful' to be art!

As they say..it is in the eye of the beholder...

Art is that which reminds us that we've forgotten that we don't know who we are. In that regard, anything that kicks us into proper gear is art. I appreciate your thoughts on the subject. Nice photo.

It is interesting to read your thoughts about the importance of Art and nice to see this photo of the old and new equipment in the oil fields.

One of the things I love, and which you photograph often, are these old things contrasting with the new. I really like the industrial photos you do, there is a lot of beauty in them. Art is a strange thing, each person sees it differently, finds different meanings. That's why I love posting my work, to see what other's see, and how different it is from my own vision. The thing I most love about your art, is that you always present your views. I like what someone else said, that you lead a transparent life .. what you see is what you get. I think that's a very good way to describe to you. I like that in person, no hidden agendas.
