I guess that first pic didn't purge the SoccerBall demon from my mind, so I had to put up a second pic :) This should do it though, since I'm not sure how I could possibly do anything to improve on this. The pic is entirely a Poser render with absolutely NO post-processing. Not that I'm bragging, just admitting to my own lack of ability in that area :) Have to say I'm sure I must have stepped on grass a million or more times, but never fully appreciated just how much grass there is in a tiny little square foot. Ended up having to include numerous copies of the original grass strand model and offsetting/rotating each to get the density required for such a close-up shot. Made it a bit schizophrenic as to which direction the grass is leaning, but I think the overal effect is quite respectable. Fortunately the model uses the same Super-Strand ribbon-texturing techniques as our DuoGenesis Mohawk hair, so getting the individual grass strands to stand out and/or be individually colored was a snap. I even used a couple of the textures from the Mohawk, so technically it should be called Ground-Hair rather than Grass :) Credits: SoccerBall: High-res conversion using the HiRes program Grass: multiple copies of my freebee Super-Strand straw/grass floor obj cement-ish wall blocks: Even Poser 3 had some interesting things :)
