This is an updated version of the previous image. This particular bird belongs to my RPG character, Jaecyn Riddick, who's a tribal leader and head-of-state. The E-Wing did appear in the Star Wars Universe, but none of them were as advanced as this particular version is. Until George Lucas gives his stamp of approval to this, it's still "fanon" version. Story-wise, it was originally one of the canonical versions of the E-Wing, but was completely upgraded to keep up with tech standards, and compete against other fighters that are generally more advanced than anything seen in the whole of accepted Star Wars canon. The blue stripes are to help identify the craft as belonging to the Ossan Defense Force (ODF), which is based on the planet Ossus, homeworld to the Jedi, the Grey Jedi, the Ysanna, and my character. The black trim and black 'n' yellow checker are unit identification, 1st Starfighter Squadron, 1st Fighter Wing. This unit, among others, operates like USMC air units in real life. The 1st FS operates from a captial ship called the Ferrin Sha, and is also based on an installation just outside of Ossus' capital city of Knossa. Though Riddick fights along side his military, he technically isn't in the ODF. Riddick flies this in much the same fashion the Luke Skywalker did his X-Wing; part combat, part personal transport. This thing comes equipped with three heavy laser cannons, 16 torpedo magazine, and the ability to hook up bombs, missiles, and gun/laser pods by way of four hard points. It also has the latest computer systems and a phased array sensor system able to track countless elements, is hard to jam and can throw off weapons lock. It has a 0.25 hyperdrive system, and can go about Mach 3 in atmo. It also has thrust vectoring and is EMP hardened, and is stealth plated. It is the second most numerous starfighter in the ODF. The XJ-9 X-Wing, another fanon variation of a canonical fighter, beats it in number. No Imperials were harmed or killed in the making of this image. I got some Mandalorians and a couple Sith lords to take their place. Enjoy!
