Description

As I was descending those 171 steps, I stopped every now and then to take a look around and enjoy the view, and of course, to snap off a few shots. When I got home and was able to actually view my photos it was one of those moments where I looked at them and thought, in wonder, "Did I take that?" I guess I would call this a momentous occasion for me, because I realized I can actually take a photo... if you know what I mean. I was tickled pink at the out come of my 'shoot' here. So I hope you enjoy :) My previous upload, "Looking Back at 171". Thanks for looking. Hugs, ~Melinda~

This is a spectacular shot and the lighthouse draws the eye right to the center.

LOL, Melinda, I know EXACTLY what you mean! I am very new to photography and I asked my hubby for our 22nd anniversary if he would buy me a simple to use camera that I could carry with me every day in case a photo opportunity came along. I'm still learning about framing things, light and shadows... Last weekend we went to the beach and the sun was so bright that I couldn't see the view screen on the camera, so I just pointed and prayed, LOL...and like you, I got home and was like wow! that came out pretty darn good. This is wonderful! I love how you framed the lighthouse through the many types of trees. Nice job!!!

Aw c'mon, Melinda, I've known you could take a photo all along, no surprise. Beautifully framed lighthouse between-the-foliage shot on display here in this keen kapture, young lady!
