Description

If you read any books on New Zealand Dinosaurs, they'll say NZ was home to a large Allosaur or Megalosaur. This is because Geoffrey Cox's book Prehistoric Animals of New Zealand stated this fact (the book from which all the others reference). At the time it was written in 1991, this was perfectly acceptable logic. However our understanding of Gondwannaian Theropods has improved a great deal since the 90's. I have reconstructed New Zealand's large theropod here as a Carcharodontosaur. There is a chance it was a Abelisaur. It is seen here chasing a herd of Hypsilophodons, which are also known (from a single bone!) in the area. All the models were created by myself in Carrara. Their textures were made in Corel Paintshop Pro. They were composited onto my photo from Australia.
