Well captured, Valentin. The stark, bare trees are not only frozen, but flooded as well. 2009-2010 was a hard winter indeed in most of Northern and Western Europe. The broken trees remind me of photos of the stark, muddy, flooded trench landscapes, on the Western Front, during the Great War 1914-1914. I hope those days never return. Warm regards, as the 'spiritual holiday' in our parish comes to an end. It is nice to have time to meditate. Time to think. Time to decide what to do with one's life. Time to treasure friends and family. Time to press on into the unknown future. Time to trust in one's Creator. Good wishes I present to you, Valentin as Easter approaches, and hope is reborn, John.
