Tephritidae - Trupanea amoena on rattle (Rhinanthus) Bohrfliege auf Klappertopf this pretty fly is approx. 2 - 3 mm largely. Ursula, when I was a little girl, I could sit for long time and study flies with black stribed wings. They were always sitting and wagging the wings up and Down. Now I never see them anymore. This fly with its beautiful eyes is the closest to these flies I have seen, even though this fly is brown and not black, as I remember them. A really lovely shot :-)
