Description

Captain Hardy and Lieutenant Peabody are trying to assess how to correct their course if possible to reach the planet they had been trying to reach with several hundred colonists on board their starship. Having just come out of suspended animation after more than 100 years in hibernation, their faculties are not quite up to par yet, as they try to deal with what is happening to them. As the computations start appearing on their monitors, they begin having some hope of correcting their course and reaching their destination. Suddenly, warning sirens start to blare! The lieutenant looks up at the forward screen which confirms what is being reported by the computers. A wormhole has opened up directly in front of them. No chance of avoiding it. Neither the captain nor the lieutenant had ever encountered a wormhole before. They both have read theories about the possibilities of survival or even travel through wormholes in their studies at space academy, but no one had ever encountered one on their planet before, so they don't know what to do.
