Description
Whilst bush walking, I noticed this tree that had a strange yellow growth on it. I really didn't know if it was supposed to be there or was it some kind of parasitic fungus thingy!

It looks like some variety of lichen, but I don't really know for sure.

It's a lichen, we have lot's of that up here in Alberta.

Got the same stuff up here in the Northwest of the US...but it is a light, dramatic green! Must be lichen or moss of some sort:)
