Description

Hello everyone, Tried to make an updated version of my Calling Of The Crows. Attempted to make this look like a dark/overcast day. Any comments, advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I can't tell you how much hair I am pulling out trying to light my scenes! lol ;0) Thank you also very much for all your comments and favorites from my previous images. You've done a fair job of getting that lighting. Getting scenes to look dark or darkish while still being light enough to see much of the stuff in a scene is probably one of the hardest things in lighting. (The other is getting it to look blazing sun bright without burning out highlights.) Go outside on an overcast day and REALLY LOOK at things in that light. How much and how dark are the shadow areas, how much surface do they cover and how distinct or indistinct are they ? (that is is there a lot or very little difference between the light areas and the dark). Look the same way at the light areas. Poser lights are not easy to work with because they are not WYSIWYG. They look differently in the preview than they do in a render. One advantage of Poser is negative lights. You can set a light to a negative intensity and makes an area darker.

I think you do a really good job. As for the dark day, dark grey or blue lights, mist and fog, and a bit of haze. Still and yet, great work!
