Taken 6/16/00.
After leaving the morning light of the gristbergs behind, we moved along another 250 klicks to the South until we found this amazing bronze statue (over 300 meters high). It was one of their young females, frozen in a moment of enjoying a sunset. A sign of a people with both love and heart, we were left speechless. None of us could suggest a more hospitable and thoughtful sign to leave for weary travellers. Later we learned that it is called "Barak Toa," or 'hope of the future.'
