Description
This tower was built as a navigational aid to shipping in 1934. As a kid we loved climbing it's many stairs to the top and getting the best view of our lives. It has recently been sealed closed due to 'health and safety concerns'.

They always spoil the fun, don't they?? It's a great piece of work and you do it justice.

health and safety rears its ugly head yet again, nevertheless a very good shot.

How did I KNOW! So, instead of putting safety railings in, they jump, with their HUGE boots and just close the whole thing.. So it will slowly fall apart, then one day, they will pull it down! Due to 'Health and Safety' of course! A fabulous building and a great shot.. Rob

Don't you wonder sometimes how anyone managed to grow up and survive to have the next generation of children? Everything I ever did as a kid is now restricted or prohibited or declared harmful. this is beautiful and I bet as a kid it was a little bit of magic.

Your narrative brings back similar memories. To bad that the closed it up if it had a great view. Sweet POV. Dana
