Description

Here's a little foretaste of summer for those of you who are still battling the cold. I shot this at Wight's Nursery last June. It's an azalea, but I have no idea what variety. (Count the stamens to tell the difference between an azalea and a rhody. Azaleas only have five.) Warmth and sunshine are just around the corner!

Great "sunny" shot. I didn't realize the stamens were the clue to the difference...

This is the sweetest shot and the title took me back to the days when I actually WORE crinlines--the more the better. My skirts were practically horzontal, but wow did I feel cool (well, actually I was hottern you know what since I lived in Phoenix at the time!!). LOVE this!!

What brings me to this beautiful bloom? The intricate details showing once again the difference between azalias and rhodies. Did I remember the differences spelled out so clearly in your post from last August? No (blush):))) This posting has magnificent colors and once again makes a perfect example where I can count five stamens! Wow...
