BIO
I'm a fantasy and science fiction writer by trade, with a Masters degree in Biology. I dabble in art as a means of relaxing, and as part of developing my characters. As a result, the vast majority of my images have something to do with my writing. My first novel, Winter's Orphans, won an Eppie award and a Dream Realm Award for Best Fantasy Novel. Since then, I've gone on to publish a bunch more stuff. If you'd like to check out my books, including free stuff, you can do so here: http://www.onecrow.net/Books.htm

Love your comic. Been a silent fan from page one. I had a question on your pre-production work. Do you start out with pencil sketches for your storyboarding or is everything digital?

@feladwe - Everything is digital. I start out with a script that is as close as I come to story-boarding (I include notes to myself as to setting, camera angle, etc.). I render in Poser, then paint on clothing (except shoes, usually--I hate painting shoes!) and hair in Photoshop, adjust the lighting, and use a series of actions to get a uniform look. I've recently been thinking I need to try my hand at sketching again, as I've done only digital work for the last 9 years or so!

Your explanation to feladwe shows the amount of thought and care put into your panels. It isn't easy being writer, artist, director, producer and everything else. Looks like a piece of cake for you. :)
