Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wonderful capture! There you better not an inkling of a fear of heights...

Got me, but it's a beauty! I would NOT want that job, although think of the photo ops you'd have on a daily basis! Wouldn't be any fun in the cold wind or rain, though. Great capture, Bill!

I was watching a show about six months ago on how they are replacing those humans with machines. They say it's to dangerous. Excellent POV and capture!

I actually saw a clip on TV (not sure if it was Discovery or Nat Geo) where a freak wind blew some window washers all over the place and crashed them into the glass! It was havoc but luckily the guys survived! As you say - never ending! This is a lovely building and image Bill! :)

Can you imagine? That's a lot of glass to clean. cool shot.

I bet when they come to the end, they have to start all over again!!! Great capture.

Super building Bill! I can imagine that by the time they get to the end they have to start all over again....so never ending job is quite right...lol

Cool capture, Bill! I expect that one building could keep a couple guys employed for a long time! By the time you get to the second side, the first side would be dirty again. Then multiply that by two more sides..... Yeah, never-ending.... It's called 'BIG!' LOL! I think I prefer fixing copiers....

I'm glad I don't have that job, but I bet they get a great view. A super blue capture with lovely reflections.

Fine capture of this glass leviathan, Bill! Took guts to build it, considering it's in earthquake territory. When I read the title I thought you were referring to the learning curve in Photoshop.

I love watching the window washers at our office building. I love to make faces at them when they are washing our 14th story windows. I wouldn't do their job for the world but I have a feeling they wouldn't like mine either.
alessimarco
Fantastic capture!

No way that you would get me in that rig, on that building. Great capture. Dana

Gives me the willies just looking at this--but I'll bet these guys have some view--both outside AND inside that building!!

Great shot Bill what a great job, but not in strong winds :-O the view would be great but doubt if they have much time to look with that many windows..

This is the Fifteen Twenty-One building on Second Avenue in Seattle. It's 38 floors of million-dollar-plus condominiums. (Glad I could answer your question!) :) I love this building ... it's so photogenic! You inspire me to find a couple of mine that are different from yours and put them up. The window washers were a great touch. Think I'll pass on the condos, though. Too rich for my blood!
