Description

Phidippus Audax- Believe it is a Female. Big @ about 15mm. Caught this one yesterday afternoon in the yard. Kept her overnight since when I saw her it was hot out and she was just too hyper to get shots of her. Let her out in the cool early morning and she was calm as could be. I must have gotten 30+ quality shots! I may post a couple more of my faves in the coming days, just because there are a couple more that are just too cute. Thanks for looking... Bruce Full Size is a MUST.. I'm tell ya! lol

The hyperness and boldness I dont think is just due to the heat. I nave noticed it here in Chicago! And they have grown in size the past years.. They used to be tiny things. Some are big enough that i leave them alone.. LOLOL!! Great capture!!!

I have seen these on my garbage cans but they seem to have a bit more teal color in the front mandibles. This is really an amazing macro. I need a better camera LOL

I have to agree with Kbrog on this one. Me and spiders do not go together, but ths shot is more than excellent. Of course, I would expect nothing less from you, Nightgallery. Great Macro!
