Description

The illustration of a short story soon to be released at Amber Swann Publishing Inc. Called of course, "The Fancy" ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I was asked, why are all of my novels written with interracial characters? Simply because, 1.) all white upon white drama's, stories, romances, etc. etc. etc. are covered, the market is saturated - no room for me. 2.) The black upon black is pretty much the same, no room for me. 3.) I am made up of so many different nations, cultures, "Races" - that it is that - in my history, that most inspires me - and besides - that particular market is NOT saturated. There you have it - why most all of my art, written and illustrated - is as you see it. It is a past that I am proud of, and one, that I cannot deny. Just as it should be my dear Sis. As with most of us, there is so much history that involves the different 'nations, cultures and races per say', none of which should be or can be denied. And your writing and illustrations are what I truly appreciate about your talent. You are able to tell it all, show it all so very well. For you, for me and so many of those like us. Bravo my sweet baby Sis! Your are a treasure!!!

This is such a stunning image Mercy and I'm in awe of your talent. You are able to always bring each character to life and we can feel their love and passion so easily just as in this lovely image. Top it all of with your wonderfully written stories and your personal thoughts behind it all and it is an amazing experience.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the art that you do. The fact that it portrays something different makes it special. And the fact that it is inspired by what you know on a personal level makes it even more beautiful. And this image is gorgeous :o)

your words - I like your explanation. Your Picture - if this is going into a book, I'd like to suggest a small change... move the background window so it is directly behind her face, so her face stands out... if you squint your eyes just a little, her head blends in with the backgound - I'm only suggesting it because of mass production, otherwise, I wouldn't mention it... don't know if you remember my BONDAGE stories, but James is in love with a demon girl - lol, kinda sorta interracial... and if you caught the tell end of last year, he found out his original self (he's a clone) was mated to a green alien... I think I'm safe, there's not a market for that is there? LOL ...Now, I'd like to share with you something that you might want to work into one of your books, it's a true life experience of mine.... I went fishing a few years ago with a friend that I knew since 6 years old, we were in our late 30s by now. The fishing trip was a half a day away, so we stayed at a motel. At the end of the night when we were at the motel, we turned on the TV. nothing was on, was on the last chanel to check and was disapointed. I checked the last chanel. The 5th Wheel was on. It was an old date show, don't know if it's on anymore. anyway, I was excited I found something on TV. My friend didn't like it. Aysia Tyler was the host. I asked what he thought about her. He said, she's black. I said so... don't you think she's pretty? He responded again by saying she's black. I said, wouldn't you ever date a black woman? he said No. ...knowing him all my life, I knew he had some racial barriors but not like this... so I also know he has a feel that man is superior over women... I just had to put this thought in his head... so.... I said: Do you think God is a man? He said yes. I said, but since God created everything, don't you think God could be anything it wanted to be? he said Yes. So, God could be a Woman if it chose.... it could be a Black woman if it chose.... If you were to die and go to Heaven, don't you think God might introduce themselves to you as a black woman? .....A few days after the trip, he thanked me for imporving his thinking.... a few years later, he took his own life. I've often wondered if God communicated to my friend as a black woman. ...You deal with interracial feelings in your book, this sounds like a perfect place for this story and I really do think God would be happy with me to spread this to you so you could spread it to others - please find a good way to spread the word. ... cool picture.
