Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

Oh he is a beauty with such sexy blue eyes Dana! LOL... Excellent capture my friend! We have some of the black and white ibis over here! In the Woodlands area where my office is we have one with a broken wing who always hangs around our canteen area. I call him Scruffy - as he always looks so unkept!!

The white ibis was one of the birds I enjoyed most when I visited my folks in Florida. They were everywhere. Love how you got the beak so clear in this shot.

What a cool shot of this bird; we don't have them here! Our most exotic bird seems to be the elusive blue heron...

Ultra sharp, detailed, and with superb lighting effects in this shot of the magnificent Ibis, sacred bird of the Nile, Dana! I saw a few of these at the Los Angeles Zoo, but they were too far back in their cages to photograph.
